Hvidbjerg Strand is a wonderful piece of the west coast, and the white sandy beach has everything you need - whether you've come to swim, surf, walk the dog or just let nature sink in.

The west coast's only bathing jetty

The west coast of Jutland is characterised by the fact that there are no jetties - except at Hvidbjerg Strand, where the west coast's first (and only) jetty was completed in 2015. The 60 metre long jetty (90 metres with the ramp on land) provides a number of unique benefits for visitors to the beach. It offers a lot of opportunities for swimmers, of course, but also the elderly and disabled can now get closer to the sea in a safe and convenient way. The fact that the bridge has been established here is due to Hvidbjerg Beach's special location. The beach is sheltered by Blåvandshuk and Horns Rev, making it perhaps the only place where a bridge structure can withstand the violent forces of the sea.

Car-free beach

On large parts of the west coast you can drive a car on the beach, but Hvidbjerg Strand is car-free. This makes the beach a paradise for families with children, who have endless opportunities to enjoy the Danish summer exactly the way they want.

Whether you want to fly kites, build sandcastles, walk the dunes, play volleyball, watch the sun go down or just relax with a good book, you can do what you want. And if you fancy collecting nature's gold - amber - there are few places in Denmark that can match Hvidbjerg Strand and Blåvand Strand.

Proximity and security

Hvidbjerg Strand is "close by" - close to Hvidbjerg Strand Holiday Park, close to good parking facilities and close to toilet facilities and good shopping opportunities. And of course, safety is taken care of. In high season, the lifeguard tower is manned so you can enjoy the beach without worry. However, always remember that the sea - and not least the North Sea - demands respect and attention.

Remember the dog

The West Jutland coast is a great place for dogs - there's plenty of space to romp around and burn off a lot of energy.

Remember that on Danish beaches, dogs must be kept on a leash from April to September and when they run free, the owner must have full control of the dog so that it does not disturb others.

Ho Bay and Skallingen

The west coast and Wadden Sea offer rich wildlife, migratory birds, seal watching and oyster hunting. Walk to Langli Island at low tide, but remember to check the tides. Cycle to Skallingen for stunning views, a quiet beach and good chances of seeing seals.

Trampoline centre

Have a fun day with the family in our trampoline centre and bounce home tired afterwards. Enjoy trampolines of all shapes and sizes, including wall tramps and a trampoline track with soft landing in the foam pad. Practise flip-flops and somersaults on our airtrack or jump on the big trampolines and land softly in a giant cushion!
