Blåvand
- Thriving city life

Blåvand is a vibrant holiday town that is alive all year round. Here you'll find everything you need - and then some. Welcome to the West Coast.

Open stores all year round

In many holiday destinations in Denmark, the towns close down when the tourists go home, but Blåvand is different. Here you'll find a wide range of shops where you can buy everything from groceries to sports equipment, fresh fish, souvenirs, handicrafts and clothes. All year round - whatever the weather.

This also means that if you visit Hvidbjerg Strand Feriepark on a weekend during the off-season, you won't find Blåvand closed for holidays, but a town full of people and activity.

Plenty of food and drink

In Hvidbjerg Strand Holiday Park you'll find several places to eat, but in Blåvand there are also plenty of options. You'll find restaurants, cafés, ice cream parlours and bars, and you can buy ingredients so you can prepare your own food at the campsite or in your cabin.

Activities in working workshops

Few things create holiday memories like making something together. In Blåvand, you can experience working workshops and try boiling sweets, moulding candles or grinding amber.
Activities that work for people of all ages and activities that appeal to creativity and family fun.

During the high season there's a flea market in town and if you're feeling artistic, artist Agnete Brinch has a workshop on the main street.

A helping hand

Blåvand not only offers a rich shopping experience. There are also a number of service companies that can help you in a wide range of areas.

Part of this service is related to the many holiday homes and houses in and around Blåvand. These include estate agents, as well as craftsmen such as blacksmiths, carpenters and electricians.

Nature experiences from the top shelf

One of Blåvand's greatest strengths is not the town, but its location. The nature around Blåvand is breathtaking, and the area is an important part of both Wadden Sea National Park and Vesterhavet Nature Park.

Close to the town is Blåvandshuk, Denmark's westernmost point, which marks the northern border of the Wadden Sea National Park and the southern border of the North Sea Nature Park. Besides the characteristic lighthouse, Blåvandshuk is known for being a popular spot for birdwatchers due to the large bird migration.

You can walk from Hvidbjerg to Blåvandshuk - the walk is 4.5 kilometres each way - and along the way you will meet the mules. Remember to bring a bag so you can collect beautiful seashells or hollow stones.

Paradise for dogs

Dogs are more than welcome at Hvidbjerg Strand Holiday Park, and this applies to the area around Blåvand in general. In the area's forests, dogs must be kept on a lead, but in Blåvand Hundeskov there is free play for the four-legged friends. The dog forest is fenced in, so you can let your dog explore with a clear conscience.
