The animals in Blåvand Zoo

The small zoo is home to 400 animals, many of which are pets such as goats, rabbits, horses, pigs, donkeys and guinea pigs. There are also plenty of opportunities to see more exotic animals such as lions, kangaroos, camels, zebras, ostriches and monkeys.

Popular activities at Blåvand Zoo include feeding the lions, pony rides and the opportunity to touch a snake and pet a goat.

You can pack a packed lunch to enjoy at the tables and benches set up in the park. If you want to keep it simple, you can instead choose to buy your food in the cafeteria. There is also free parking and disabled toilets.

TIRPITZ museum

At the Tirpitz Museum you can experience the history of the West Coast through hair-raising stories and a beautiful amber exhibition. The museum provides insight into the West Coast and the Tirpitz Bunker from World War II. Perfect for history buffs or those looking for an exciting experience!

Cycling

Strap your bikes to the back of the car and you're already well on your way towards the queue of experiences that await you. Whatever your cycling level, you'll find challenges here. If you just want to experience the area from the bike, you can go on romantic morning rides where you're almost certain to encounter deer along the way. If you're looking for speed and excitement, don't look far for a fast mountain bike route.

FLUGT museum

At the museum you get close to the story of arrival, where two original wings of a refugee camp hospital have been preserved. A beautiful building designed by BIG connects past and present, and you'll gain deep insights about being a refugee.

Ho Bay and Skallingen

The west coast and Wadden Sea offer rich wildlife, migratory birds, seal watching and oyster hunting. Walk to Langli Island at low tide, but remember to check the tides. Cycle to Skallingen for stunning views, a quiet beach and good chances of seeing seals.

Blåvandshuk Lighthouse

Blåvandshuk Lighthouse, just a 9-minute drive from Hvidbjerg Strand Holiday Park, stands at the westernmost point of Denmark. The 39 metre high lighthouse offers a fantastic panoramic view of Horns Rev and Denmark's largest wind farm. Built in 1900, the lighthouse still functions today.

Unique bridge on a unique beach

At Hvidbjerg Strand Holiday Park you'll find the only bathing jetty on the west coast. The bridge is the icing on the cake at the beach, which is in a class of its own.
