Gravel cycling is a form of cycling that takes place mainly on gravel roads and paths in nature - including the beach. Gravel can be described as a mix between road cycling and mountain biking, as you use a bike with a lightweight frame and narrow tyres, but which is also robust enough to handle the bumps and challenges of gravel roads and nature trails.
Gravel has become increasingly popular in recent years, mainly due to the different and often beautiful routes that riders take. Many gravel cyclists also find it more relaxing and a greater experience than regular road cycling, as you can enjoy the surroundings and nature more while cycling. Some have even described it as an adventure as you get to experience nature and areas you wouldn't have got to otherwise.
The West Coast is ideal for gravel cycling as you'll find gravel roads, trails, climbs and of course the wide beaches that invite you to spend hours and days on your gravel bike. You're sure to meet other cycling enthusiasts as the area attracts everyone from mountain bikers to families on tandem bikes.
If you can't get enough of experiencing the wild landscape of West Jutland, you can jump in the saddle and experience it up close. Gravel cycling is the new big thing in cycling: cycling off-road and around beautiful landscapes.
When you and your fellow cyclists have been riding all day, there's nothing better than coming home to the comfort of your own home - but still close to nature and the surrounding cycling areas. We offer a wide range of accommodation options from glamping cabins for two people, hotel rooms or cabins for up to 6 people.
All our cabins have free access to the large playground, trampoline centre, tropical waterpark and our fantastic wellness centre (+16 years).
