Hvidbjerg Strand Holiday Park also welcomes guests with physical disabilities by offering facilities and accessibility that meet the needs of wheelchair users and others with reduced mobility.

Wheelchair access
Our North Sea Villas (villas 1 and 2) and Beach Villas (villas 21-25) are wheelchair accessible. They have the same furnishings as the other villas, but are built so that a wheelchair can get around and there is an elevated toilet with a double armrest. There are no doorsteps and the bathroom is large and easily accessible.
The beach hotel has a lift, easy access for people with walking difficulties, but is not wheelchair accessible.
There is direct parking at all our pitches, cabins and villas.
Book a wheelchair accessible cabin or villa
We recommend that you give us a call so we can have a good chat about your wishes and needs and what is possible with the facilities we can provide.
Please call us on tel. +45 75 27 90 40. Remember to state that you need a disabled-friendly house.
Accessibility for wheelchair users
Roads and paths
Almost all our roads and many paths at the campsite are paved and can easily be used by wheelchair users. There is also a path up over the dune and down to the beach - almost down to the water's edge. The path is made of wooden slats.
Toilet facilities
Most buildings and service buildings have toilet and shower facilities that are suitable for wheelchair users.
Restaurant Hvidbjerg
It is possible to enter Restaurant Hvidbjerg, Pizzeria Monte Bianco and Høfde4 with a wheelchair, but please book a table and inform us that there must be room for a wheelchair so we can accommodate it.
Waterpark
Wheelchair access is available, but we do not have lifts in the waterpark, and we do not have wheelchairs that are suitable for use in the swimming pool etc. It is not possible to use the grotto and the first floor of the waterpark, as there are only stairs.
Wellness centre
The Spa & Wellness is located on 2 floors and there is no lift. There are therefore limited options for wheelchair users. On the ground floor, the hot water pool cannot be used as the entrance is a narrow staircase. The spa pool with music may be available, however, there are a few stairs to get into the pool. On the ground floor we also have an infrared sauna, fire sauna, mineral sauna and foot tub by the fireplace that can be used.
If you would like to book treatments, please contact our therapists on tel. +45 76 54 25 18.
Play City - playground and trampoline centre
Play City is accessible by ramp, but the play equipment is set up on several floors with stairs and ladders. There is no lift. A wheelchair cannot enter the trampoline centre. There is no lift.
Fishing lake
There are no paved paths around the lake.
Mini golf
A wheelchair can get around the course.

Extended disabled toilet at Hvidbjerg Strand Holiday Park
In the extended disabled toilet, there is plenty of room to manoeuvre around with a wheelchair and it is possible for several people to be inside the room. You will find the extended disabled toilet in Service Building 50 in the green area. See our location map.

Height-adjustable shower and changing table
The height-adjustable shower and changing trolley can be used by anyone who needs supine care - whether it's changing clothes, nappies or a need for a shower. You can easily adjust the height with the hand control to optimise transfers to and from a wheelchair for both the user and caregiver. The folding bed rail contributes to increased safety. The lying surface is comfortable and it is possible to raise the head end for a more comfortable experience.
Height adjustable washbasin
The height of the washbasin is easily adjusted with the buttons on the front of the sink to suit a seated or standing person. The integrated hand grips in the washbasin also contribute to increased safety and can be a good support for people with walking difficulties, while the flat bottom of the sink ensures that a wheelchair can fit underneath.
Height-adjustable toilet with toilet supports
The height-adjustable toilet is useful if you need help sitting down or standing up. The toilet is easily operated by pressing the buttons on one of the toilet supports. In addition to being used for transferring to and from a wheelchair, the toilet supports can also serve as a good support for people with walking difficulties. In addition, the toilet supports can be folded up to allow for a helping hand from both sides of the toilet
Sunflower cord
Hvidbjerg Strand Holiday Park focuses on inclusion and accessibility for people with invisible disabilities.
From April 2024, people with invisible disabilities visiting Hvidbjerg Strand Holiday Park can wear the Sunflower if they want to signal to staff and other guests that they may need extra time, patience or help.
For people with invisible disabilities, such as brain injury, ADHD, anxiety, visual impairment, PTSD, autism, Alzheimer's, etc. being in unfamiliar surroundings with many people around can be stressful or burdensome. It can be an extra barrier to travelling if you find yourself having to explain your challenges to gain understanding.
Hvidbjerg Strand Holiday Park is therefore joining the Sunflower programme, which means that they train their employees to know what an invisible disability is, what the Sunflower cord means and how best to meet a person who has chosen to wear the Sunflower.
The sunflower lanyard can be worn when you want to make your invisible disability visible. Wearing it is completely voluntary.
Wearing the Sunflower Lanyard doesn't provide any special benefits. It just shows others that you may need extra time, patience or help.
- We believe and hope it gives you extra peace of mind to know that we welcome everyone regardless of disabilities or challenges. As a holiday park, we want to be accessible and inclusive, even if a guest has challenges that the eye cannot see. So of course we have to be part of the Sunflower programme," say Vibe and Amy from Hvidbjerg Strand Feriepark.
