2. World War II ended before one of the largest gun emplacements of the Atlantic campaign, which was to have been located at Blåvand, was completed. Therefore, the large concrete bunker remains intact as a sad but historic reminder of the war. The bunker is now used as a museum and it is even possible to get from one of the Tirpitz bunkers to the other via an underground passageway. The ruined bunker has always been a popular museum, but in 2017 the old museum was replaced by a brand new one with four large galleries, each with its own exhibition. The new museum consists of concrete, steel and glass. Concrete is cast on site as the old cannon bunker. Steel in black and gold like amber.
